A campaign to make skipping a sport by encouraging more youngsters to take part is under way.

Skippers from Team GB are spearheading the drive, which has seen Chancellor George Osborne pick up a rope as part of a challenge to encourage widespread participation.

Mike Bushell, who showcases some skipping tricks himself, reports.
