Police appeal after woman murdered in Greater Manchester

A 25-year-old woman has been found murdered at her home in Greater Manchester.

Linzi Ashton's body was found on Saturday evening at the house in Westbourne Road, Winton, Salford.

Greater Manchester Police have named her former partner, Michael Cope, 28, as someone they want to interview about the death.

A Home Office post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death has yet to take place.

Det Chief Supt Darren Shenton made a direct appeal to the public.
