27 July 2013 Last updated at 16:48 BST

Anti-fracking protests are continuing at the site of an exploratory oil drilling operation in West Sussex.

Local and national campaigners at the demonstration in Balcombe are trying to stop lorries entering the area.

Sixteen people have been arrested since the protests began on Thursday.

Oil firm Cuadrilla currently has permission to drill a 3,000ft (914m) well and 2,500ft (762m) horizontal bore at the site.

Juliette Parkin reports.
