Police put focus on football abuse

Football supporters are being warned that police and prosecutors will clamp down this season on the abuse of players and fellow fans - both at games and online.

New guidelines for tackling hooligans in England and Wales also address homophobic chanting for the first time.

Anyone caught will be given a three-year banning order from matches.
