4 September 2013 Last updated at 23:00 BST

A man has been convicted of the murder of a 19-year-old woman from Milton Keynes more than 10 years after her boyfriend was wrongly jailed for the crime.

Shahidul Ahmed, 41, strangled Rachel Manning and dumped her body at a golf course in December 2000.

In 2002, her boyfriend Barri White was convicted of murder and his friend Keith Hyatt of perverting the course of justice. Both later had their convictions quashed.

Sian Lloyd looks at the background to the case.
