UKIP conference resumes despite Bloom exit

21 September 2013 Last updated at 09:09 BST

The UK Independence Party will resume its annual conference on Saturday, despite its leader saying the event had been destroyed by one of its members.

MEP Godfrey Bloom had the party whip removed after saying that a group of female activists were "sluts".

He has been suspended from the party and is facing disciplinary action.

Ben Schofield reports.
