Unemployment falls but young still struggle

The number of people claiming unemployment benefit fell at its fastest rate since 1997, according to the latest unemployment figures.

The jobless total dropped again over the summer by 18,000 and now stands at 2.49m.

But there is more evidence of the squeeze on wages.
