28 October 2013 Last updated at 17:40 GMT

It has been 25 years since the devastating Great Storm of 1987, which BBC weatherman Michael Fish famously dismissed.

On Monday, he found himself victim to one of the worst storms to have hit the UK in the years since.

He said a he had a "nasty shock" when he found his "treasured" silver birch tree had been uprooted in the storm, damaging a neighbour's garage and adjacent fence.
