Taxi driver: 'He took all my money... and stabbed me'

16 December 2013 Last updated at 12:01 GMT

One taxi driver every two weeks is killed or seriously injured in an attack while at work, a 5 live investigation has found.

Police records obtained by a Freedom of Information request showed 151 drivers had been the victims of wounding with intent over the past five years.

Grimsby taxi driver Linda Richardson, who was subjected to a violent attack last year, wants CCTV to be installed in all cabs.

She told BBC Radio 5 live Investigates: "He slashed me with a knife and stabbed me... an hour later they got a friend of mine and did exactly the same to him."
