Padstow speedboat deaths: Fast turn led to tragedy

30 January 2014 Last updated at 14:05 GMT

Investigators say a father and daughter, who were killed in a speedboat accident in Cornwall, died after he took control of the steering from his wife.

Nick Milligan and eight-year-old Emily were hit by the boat in Padstow last May. Other members of the family were seriously injured.

A report said Mrs Milligan should have been wearing a kill-chord safety device to shut off the boat's engine.

Duncan Kennedy reports.
