Recreating a Cheshire WW1 hospital

Nowadays Dunham Massey Hall, in Cheshire, is simply a grand old stately home, but during World War One it was Stamford Military Hospital, one of thousands set up to cope with the casualties.

To mark the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War, some of the wards at Dunham Massey have been recreated, as Alan Beswick reports.
