DPP on helping witnesses give evidence in court

The new Director of Public Prosecutions has spoken of helping witnesses give evidence in court.

Alison Saunders suggested new laws may not be needed, but said there was a need to "rebalance the process" by speaking to more witnesses before they went into court, and outlining what they may face.

She spoke to Andrew Marr about the help offered in other countries and what new guidance she could give to her prosecutors,
