Terrorism arrests: Two Portsmouth suspects bailed
Two of six people arrested by on suspicion of terrorism offences on Tuesday have been released on bail.
A man aged 57 and a woman, 48, both from Portsmouth, were bailed on Tuesday night, the South East Counter-Terrorism Unit said.
Two men and two women remain in custody.
Police said the arrests were related to the conflict in Syria and were "not linked to any immediate threat to local communities".
The 57-year-old man who has been bailed was arrested on suspicion of failing to disclose information about acts of terrorism, engaging in conduct in preparation of terrorist acts and arranging availability of money and property for use in terrorism.
The 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of failing to disclose information about acts of terrorism.
They were both bailed until December.
The suspects still in custody are two men, aged 26 and 23, from Portsmouth, a 23-year-old woman from Farnborough, and a 29-year-old woman from Greenwich, south-east London, who were all arrested on suspicion of commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.
On Monday, anti-terrorism police arrested three men in central London.
The men, aged 21, 24 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
