Luton airport arrest: Police bail woman held over Syria terror offences
A 25-year-old woman who was arrested at Luton Airport on suspicion of Syria-related terror offences has been bailed pending further police inquiries.
The woman, from Haringey, north London, was held on Wednesday after a flight from Istanbul in Turkey, on suspicion of preparing for acts of terrorism.
She was released on police bail after being questioned by officers from the West Midlands counter-terrorism unit.
A police spokesman said she had been granted conditional bail until March.
Two children who were travelling with her are being looked after by social services, West Midlands Police added.
