Man arrested on suspicion of funding fighters in Syria

A 22-year-old man has been arrested as part of an investigation into the alleged funding of fighters in Syria, the Metropolitan Police has said.

He was arrested by anti-terrorism officers at an address in north London and was taken to a police station, where he remains in custody.

Two addresses have also been searched in north London, a Met spokesman added.

"The investigation is in relation to alleged funding of individuals engaged in the Syrian conflict," police said.
