Three men arrested over an alleged beheading plot will go on trial in October, a judge has ruled.

Nadir Ali Sayed, 22, from Hounslow, west London, Yousaf Shah Syed, 19, from High Wycombe and Haseeb Hamayoon, 27, from Hayes, west London, were arrested in police raids in November last year.

They were remanded in custody at the time and have been accused of planning acts of terrorism.

The men appeared via video link for a hearing at the Old Bailey.

Their trial has been provisionally set for 6 October and is due to last up to eight weeks.

A plea and case management hearing will take place on 20 July.
