Man dies after two-vehicle crash on A20 near Swanley
A man has died after a crash between two vehicles on the A20 in Kent.
Police said a lorry and a recovery truck collided just past the Swanley interchange, on the London-bound carriageway, at 1040 BST on Saturday.
Two men travelling in the recovery truck were injured and taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, in Sidcup.
A man in his 40s, from Littlehampton, in West Sussex, was transferred to the Royal London Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The vehicles involved were a green Scania articulated lorry and a yellow Iveco car recovery truck.
The carriageway was closed while officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit investigated the circumstances of the crash. It reopened at 2100 BST.
