Threat to Northumberland farm supply firm jobs

Almost 40 jobs are at risk after a Northumberland agricultural firm was placed into administration.

Hexham-based Hadrian Farm Services supply and maintain milking equipment and have debts of almost £2m - £500,000 of which is owed to the Inland Revenue.

The firm has offices in Darlington and Carlisle, but also operates in Lancashire and Scotland.

A spokesman for administrators Tait Walker said attempts were being made to find a buyer for the 26-year-old firm.
