Boy, 10, killed in M6 crash in Cheshire
A 10-year-old boy has been killed in a car crash on the M6 in Cheshire.
The collision happened on the southbound carriageway, between Sandbach services and junction 16 near Stoke, at 1715 BST on Saturday.
A Mercedes van and a Toyota Yaris crashed. The car left the carriageway and overturned. The boy was airlifted to hospital but died soon afterwards.
The driver of the Mercedes, 46, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has been released on bail.
Police have appealed to any witnesses to contact them.
On Thursday, two men were killed when they were struck by a lorry on the northbound carriageway of the M6 just after junction 17, Sandbach.
