Devon coroner orders inquiry into hospital hanging
A Devon coroner has ordered police to investigate the death of a Cornwall man who was found hanged in a hospital.
The 56-year-old man, from Liskeard, was discovered on a ward in Plymouth's Derriford Hospital on 16 September.
Plymouth coroner Ian Arrow ordered the investigation to help with the inquest - which has been opened and adjourned
Plymouth Hospitals Trust said it was also carrying out its own inquiry and added that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
