Dealers who drove from Liverpool to Carlisle jailed

Two men who made round trips of more than 200 miles to sell drugs in a Cumbria city have been jailed.

During a 10-day period in June this year Michael White, 20, and Graham Mann, 22, drove from Liverpool to Carlisle each day, except on a Sunday.

They were caught when police spotted them talking to a known drug dealer.

Both men, of Liverpool, admitted supplying crack cocaine and heroin and were jailed for three-and-a-half years each at Carlisle Crown Court.

White, of Alexandra Road, Crosby, and Mann, of South Road, Waterloo, also pleaded guilty to possessing both drugs with intent to supply.

They were stopped and arrested by Cumbria Police on the M6 at Plumpton near Penrith.
