Motorcyclist dies following Newcastle crash

A man injured in a head-on collision in Newcastle has died in hospital.

His motorcycle crossed the central reservation of St James Boulevard and collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction on 21 October.

The 46-year-old, from the Durham area, has now died in Newcastle General Hospital. His name has not yet been released.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, on the approach to Redheugh Bridge, at about 1600 BST.
