Four children who were arrested in connection with a fatal accident on the A20 in Kent earlier this year will not face prosecution, police have said.

Michael Baker, 47, from West Sussex, died following the crash on the A20 near the Swanley interchange in July.

He had been a passenger in a recovery truck which hit a lorry.

The children, aged between 10 and 15, were questioned on suspicion of manslaughter after reports of stones being thrown from the side of the road.

Kent Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

Mr Baker, of Littlehampton, suffered serious injuries when the truck hit the stationary lorry. He died later in hospital.
