Man crushed to death by bricks in Wilmslow

A 22-year-old man died after being crushed by bricks on a building site in Cheshire, police have confirmed.

Andrew Dytiche, of Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire, was working on a site in Wilmslow on 7 January when bricks fell on him, police said.

He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester but died from his injuries later that day.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned, a spokeswoman for Cheshire police said.
