Forest walks encouraged for over-50s in South West
People over the age of 50 in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset are being encouraged to spend more time in forests.
The Forestry Commission is working with the charity Age UK to encourage older people to visit woodlands so as they can get more exercise.
The move is also part of commission's work for the International Year of the Forest campaign in 2011.
As well as getting exercise, those taking part would also be able to take in the scenery, the commission said.
