Two killed in Dorset road crashes on Friday

Two people have been killed in separate road crashes in Dorset.

An 83-year-old pedestrian was killed when she was hit by a Ford Focus on the A352 Worgret Road in Wareham. The driver was arrested and bailed over the crash, at about 0045 BST on Friday.

Meanwhile, a male motorcyclist, 43, died in a crash involving four vehicles on the A31 at Almer at about 1840 BST on Friday.

A driver of one of the vehicles , a 41-year-old Devon man, was arrested.

The BMW driver, who was travelling in the opposite direction of the cyclist before the collision, was later bailed.

A Rover and Daihatsu were also involved in the incident. The drivers were treated for minor injuries.

Police appealed for witnesses to both crashes.
