Horsham 'firearm' incident suspects arrested

Two men have been arrested after a disturbance in Horsham in which a suspected firearm was discharged.

Police were called to reports of the incident in Capel Road, Rusper, on Sunday morning.

The suspect weapon was not fired at anyone and no-one was injured, Sussex Police said.

A man from Sandhurst, Berkshire, 24, and a Horsham man, 29, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.

Both were being questioned in custody on Sunday afternoon.

Detectives were still working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and no further information was available at this stage, a Sussex Police spokesman said.

Anyone with information about the incident which happened at about 1150 BST has been asked to contact the force.
