Hull motorcyclist named after A169 crash

A motorcyclist who died after overtaking another vehicle and crashing in North Yorkshire has been identified.

Tyrone Cunningham, 31, from the Dane Park area of Hull, died after his Suzuki motorbike left the road.

Police said the crash had happened at about 1600 BST on 4 May on the A169 near the Fox and Rabbit pub, between Pickering and Whitby.

They said Mr Cunningham had been overtaking when his bike left the road, causing fatal injuries.

The collision also involved a grey Fiat.

Police said they wanted to talk to anyone with information, especially three witnesses who stopped at the scene.

The first witness was driving a flat-bed, pick-up style vehicle and said he was a fireman. Police also want to trace a man and a woman who were driving a dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle.
