Two charged over death of cyclist in Essex

A driver and a car passenger have been charged in connection with a fatal collision in Essex.

Cyclist Steven Rodway, 38, died after the crash on Ongar Road near the Passingford Bridge roundabout in Stapleford Tawney last June.

A 22-year-old man from Loughton was charged with causing death by careless driving and driving while uninsured and without a licence.

A 21-year-old woman was charged with aiding and abetting the two offences.

A 46-year-old man arrested at the time has been released from his bail with no further action to be taken.

The two people charged will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on 10 June.
