Cyclist hurt in Poole hit-and-run crash

A cyclist was injured when he was knocked from his bike in a hit-and-run crash in Dorset.

A panel van knocked the 50-year-old man over in Parkstone Road, Poole, on Tuesday morning, during the rush-hour.

The cyclist suffered a broken collar bone and a cut to his head. He was taken to hospital.

The driver of the white van, which police said had a 2004 or 2005 registration plate, failed to stop at the scene of the crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
