Seven charged after drugs raids in two counties

Seven people have been charged with drugs and money laundering offences following raids in Northampton and Bedford.

Heroin and cocaine with a street value of several hundred thousand pounds were seized in the raids on Thursday.

Nine properties were searched and six men and a woman were arrested.

They have all been remanded into police custody and are due to appear before Luton magistrates' court on Saturday.

Six people have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering.

They are 38-year-old Northampton man; four men, aged 26, 28, 30 and 34, all from Bedford and a 19-year-old woman from Bedford.

A 33-year-old woman from Bedford has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
