Fire crews rescue woman from bus in Old Stratford

Firefighters and paramedics rescued a woman injured when a double-decker bus made an emergency stop in Northamptonshire.

Crews from Great Holm and Towcester were called to the incident in Towcester Road, Old Stratford, shortly after 1500 BST on Tuesday.

The woman, who was on the top deck at the back of the bus, was lifted on to a stretcher.

It was passed through the emergency exit and she was taken to hospital.

No more information is available on the woman's condition at this stage.

The operation involved the Buckinghamshire Fire Service and the Northamptonshire Fire Service.
