Film of Captain Scott is restored

Archive footage taken 100 years ago of Plymouth-born explorer Captain Robert Scott's ill-fated expedition to the Antarctic has been digitally restored.

It was originally taken to send back to the UK to raise funds for the mission.

A rare public screening of the film is being made a special event, the Great White Silence, to honour one of the city's most famous sons.
