Fortmere hotel group put in administration

A West Midlands hotel group has gone into administration.

Fortmere Group, which employs 145 staff and operates hotels in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Kenilworth, went into administration at the end of May.

The hotels are run under a franchise agreement with Ramada and administrator Grant Thornton UK LLP is hoping to sell them as going concerns.

All three hotels are still trading and the administrator said there were no immediate plans for redundancies.

The hotels are the Ramada Birmingham Oldbury Hotel and Conference Centre in Dudley, the Ramada Park Hall Hotel and Spa in Wolverhampton and the Ramada Warwick Hotel and Conference Centre in Kenilworth.
