M50 car driver dies in motorway collision

A man has died in a two-vehicle crash on a motorway on the border of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.

A Seat Leon collided with a Volvo articulated lorry at about 1845 BST on Friday between junctions 1 and 2 of the M50.

The car driver, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene. No-one else was injured.

West Mercia Police said it was not naming the car driver at present but anyone who saw the crash was asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
