Policeman charged over crash death of Jamie Haslett

A police officer has been charged with causing death by careless driving after a student was hit by a patrol car.

University student Jamie Haslett, from the Isle of Man, died following a collision with a South Yorkshire Police car in Sheffield last October.

Mr Haslett was in the second year of a sport and business management degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

Pc Rodney Craig Mills, 41, is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court on 15 July.
