Bilsdale deer crash death motorcyclist named

Police have released the name of a Teesside man who died when his motorcycle hit a deer on a North Yorkshire road.

Harold John Hill was travelling on the B1257 near Bilsdale when his Ducati struck the animal on Monday morning.

The 65-year-old from Brotton, near Saltburn, was pronounced dead at the scene. The deer was also killed.

North Yorkshire Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the incident.
