A 45-year-old man who has absconded from prison is being sought by police.

Surrey Police said Mark Burnside was last seen at HMP Coldingley in Bisley on 25 August but failed to return after going out on a one-day licence.

He was sentenced to nine years in jail this year for conspiring to supply Class A drugs in Kent, police said.

Burnside was described as white, about 5ft 11ins (1.5m), and of a medium build. He has short brown hair, brown eyes and speaks with a southern accent.
