Norman's late night bargain?

Sussex MP and Transport Minister Norman Baker has just told the Liberal Democrat conference that his rail fare from London to Birmingham cost just £10.80.

"There are still bargains to be had," he told them.

I think I know how he managed it.

I'd been trying to get hold of him for an interview on Sunday night and his office told me: "He won't be in until late."

You don't think he took the late night train they call "the vomit comet" just to get the cheapest possible fare?
