The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the north Cornwall and Devon coast.

It is one of the highest tides of the year and the agency has warned flooding could be possible from Land's End to Hartland Point.

The agency said areas possibly at risk included St Ives Bay, Perranporth, Padstow, Bude, Lynmouth and the Taw Torridge Estuary.

High water on Wednesday is 18:25 BST at St Ives and 19:30 BST at Lynmouth.

The Environment Agency said although this was the highest astronomical tide of the year, as weather conditions are moderate, no significant flooding was expected.
