Bedford man charged with Kevin Harrison murder bailed

A man charged with the murder of a father-of-two who died in hospital following an incident in Bedford town centre has been granted bail.

Kevin Harrison, 48, from Raunds in Northamptonshire, suffered injuries during a night out with friends on 11 September and died in hospital.

Ravi Sandhu, 24, of Kathie Road, Bedford, appeared before Luton Crown Court on Friday.

Bail was given on condition that he live at an address in Norfolk.

He must also report to police daily and observe a night-time curfew.

Mr Sandhu was ordered not to contact any witnesses in the case or travel abroad.

The murder charge was not put to Mr Sandhu, a salesman for a plumber's merchants.

Judge Michael Baker QC, who granted bail, told Mr Sandhu to be back in court on 19 December for a plea and direction hearing.

His trial has been provisionally fixed for 12 March next year.
