Bexleyheath attack: Nicola Edgington accused of murder

A 31-year-old woman has been charged with murdering a woman, aged 59, who was stabbed to death in a south-east London shopping street.

Nicola Edgington, of Ambedkar House, Greenwich, is also accused of the attempted murder of a 23-year-old woman who was stabbed at a bus stop.

The attacks happened in Broadway, Bexleyheath, on Monday morning.

Ms Edgington is due to appear before magistrates later, the Metropolitan Police said.

A post-mortem examination will be held in the coming days, Scotland Yard added.

The dead woman's name has not been released by police.
