Goods seized by Durham Police aid local charities

Charitable groups in County Durham are set to benefit from the proceeds of crime.

Items which have been used or seized in the commission of a crime, and where the victim cannot be identified, have been sold by Durham Police Authority.

The £6,300 raised from the latest sale will be split between a number of organisations.

These include a victim support group, a police convalescent home, a local society for the blind and a hospice.
