Cranleigh bus queue crash: Horsham man charged

A man has been charged with dangerous driving following a crash in Surrey that left two people seriously injured.

The men were hurt when a 4x4 went into people waiting at a bus stop in Cranleigh's High Street on 6 August.

Surrey Police said Robert Freeman, a 23-year-old carpenter from Horsham in West Sussex, had been charged with dangerous driving.

Mr Freeman, who is on bail, is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court on 3 November.

Mr Freeman also faces charges of perverting the course of justice, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to report a collision.
