Neonatal care in East boosted by £6m

More than £6m has been pledged to improve support for parents and provide more staff in neonatal units across the East of England.

The funds, provided by NHS East of England Specialised Commissioning Group, will help the service meet Department of Health guidelines.

A specialist Bliss (family-centred care) nurse will be employed at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

The improvements will take place over the next five years.
