Attempted murder charges for Shropshire man after crash

A Shropshire man has appeared in court charged with two counts of attempted murder following a crash in Hereford.

Simon Charles Brown, 31, of no fixed address, but from the Bomere Heath area near Shrewsbury, appeared at Hereford Magistrates' Court on Monday.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 21 November.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, that occurred on the A49 in Holmer on Friday evening.

The crash involved a blue Honda Civic car and a white Mercedes tanker lorry at about 18:00 GMT.
