Police driving instructors hurt in Dorset crash

Two police driving instructors and another driver have been seriously injured in a head-on crash in Dorset.

The two civilian instructors, aged 52 and 56, based in Guildford, were travelling to Dorchester in an unmarked Surrey Police BMW training car.

It collided with a Nissan car, driven by a 44-year-old man from Blandford, on the B3143 shortly before noon.

All three men were taken to hospital, one by air ambulance, and are said to be in a stable condition.

The road was closed while police investigations were carried out.
