Three charged over £2m University of Sussex theft plan
Three men have been charged with planning the theft of more than £2m from the University of Sussex.
Two men from Leicester and one from West Yorkshire are charged with conspiracy to steal £2,036,616 from the university in October 2010.
Money paid by the University for building work on new student accommodation was diverted to an unrelated account.
The three men are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later.
The funds were restored to the University's accounts shortly after the transfer.
