Arrests made in heroin raids
Twelve people have been arrested as part of a police operation to break up a multimillion-pound drugs ring.
Raids took place across the country targeting heroin dealers and traffickers with arrests being made in Teesside, Oldham and Bedford.
Ten men, ranging from ages 19 to 35, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs.
Two women aged 27 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs.
The 27-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs.
Det Sgt Colin Helyer, from Cleveland Police, said: "Today is the strike day. We're showing the people who think they're untouchable that they're not."
