Fatal crash victim in Wiltshire named

An 80-year-old man who died after his car hit a garden wall in Wiltshire has been named.

John Henry Hackett, from Somerset, was driving through Lower Seagry, near Chippenham, when his blue Ford Fiesta left the road.

A police spokesman said he died after undergoing surgery at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

Police have appealed to any witnesses to the crash, which happened on 30 December, to contact them.
